Salvador Romero employed two grey-hued found stone specimens to form a striking pair of Wolves (Coyotes or Foxes) that together measure about 5 1/8" long, 1 3/8" wide and 2 1/4" tall. He said he walks a few miles out near his Cochiti Pueblo home to find the right stones. He has a special intuition about the rocks he carves. The bushytail pairing seem to carry a profound awareness of the mysteries of life, as all wild canines do.
