Brian Yunie descends from an important family of Zuni fetish carvers. His mother was Albenita Quandelacy Yunie (d) and grandmother Ellen Quandelacy (d). Ellen was a jeweler and fetish carver. Albenita carved simple fetishes like her grandfather Johnny Quam (d) and mother Ellen. Brian's sweet pink mussel shell Horse is presented on an antler base and together measures approximately 1 3/4" long, 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Eyes are from turquoise inlays, while a mane and tail are softly etched. Don't miss this collectible equine fetish that reminds us of Albenita and Ellen's old-style horses.
