Habitat loss, destruction of harvester red ants and their homes, plus severe drought have made it harder for horned
Lizards to thrive. We must protect the places they call home in the desert Southwest and Mexico by reaching out to wildlife conservation groups who focus on helping these stunning reptiles. Kenric Laiwakete's tiny insectivorous horned lizard is carved from a lovely turquoise to a dimension of approximately 1" long, 7/8" wide and 5/8" tall. Red coral eyes remind us that when threatened, horned lizards can shoot arcs of blood from their eye sockets, that's how cool they are.
