This precious double sided green turquoise maiden has been carved by Vickie Quandelacy. One side is the Olla Maiden with her jar. The 'olla' or water jar is carved on the front of the body and the water is represented by tiny pieces of turquoise. Our maiden also wears a delicately carved necklace of turquoise with accents of lapis.
The reverse side of this piece is our Grandmother. Grandmother is represented with her shawl and belt, which are exquisitely carved. Coral, turquoise, and lapis both have been carved and precisely inlaid to create her beautiful necklace. This magnificent pair stands atop a black marble base with crushed turquoise. They measure 2 5/8" tall and 2" wide.
