Herbert Halate
The Indigenous Tikuna People in the Amazon regard dolphins as gods and goddesses, shapeshifters that can move in and out of human form. The Tikuna give a dance about that transformation while wearing a dolphin costume made from tree bark. Protecting areas in nature that river dolphins need is critical for their future survival. Herbert Halate's Zuni cedar wood dolphin might be the ocean variety or perhaps a river dolphin. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. A nice size at about 8" long, 2" wide and 3" tall.
Waldo Davis
Altruistic, highly intelligent and downright delightful are dolphins. Known for rescuing fellow water creatures and humans, these deep-diving and beloved marine mammals make up approximately 40 different species who joyfully swim the world's oceans. Waldo Davis' onyx dolphin sculpture is a beauty at approximately 6 1/4" tall, 4" wide and 2 1/4" deep. Eyes are from jet in turquoise inlays. Laud the magic of these incredible beings with this fabulously-sized sea creature.
