Bats are special creatures. Not only are they the only mammal capable of flight but they can chase down deadly mosquitoes in total darkness using the gift of echolocation. Lewis Malie superbly captures and honors these acrobatic flyers in a towering carving from antler. Graceful forms are frozen in flight. Big ears, jet inlaid eyes, furry-etched bodies, mighty webbed wings and sensitive snouts assist these beneficial nighttime pollinators. How many bats can you count? Maybe eight? About 7 1/4" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 2" deep.
