Bart Gasper Jr.'s tablita corn maiden katsina is all hand-carved of traditional cottonwood root, about 9 3/4" tall, 2 5/8" wide and 2 1/2" deep, including base. She wears a tablita headdress with incised Dragonfly
, and there are many individually carved corn kernels on her body. Her hair is beautifully incised and adorned with layered feathers, plus many colorful flowers decorate her too. We love Bart's application of acrylic paints and stains, which allow the wood's natural grain to show through. The thoughtful details, the vibrant coloration, and the feminine strength of this katsina are incredible! Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply.
