Jerome Nequatewa's carved cottonwood "Father-n-Mother Sunface" katsina is a reversible woodwork painted with colorful acrylics. A feathered headdress is intricately carved around the Sunface, which represents a balance of the elements. The sun is a vital and central body of earth's solar system, essential to life. Dimensions of this traditional katsina are approximately 9" tall, 6" wide and 2 1/4" deep. Signed by the artist.
