Beautifully carved of cottonwood, in the Hopi style, this katsina doll represents the Zuni Rain Priest 'Hututu'. A sacred katsina who is the 'Rain Priest of The South', and a deputy to the 'Longhorn' katsina during Shalako, an annual religious ceremony held annually at Zuni Pueblo. Robert used acrylic paints to accent this piece leaving large areas unpainted highlighting the beautiful grain of the cottonwood. Rising from a wooden base, 5" wide by 5 1/4"deep, this piece measures about 13 1/2" tall. Additional shipping charges may apply.
