Hubert Pincion(d) was known for carving Horses
. His carvings were also admired and collected because he used no electric tools. All his horses emerged from the stones he used, in one piece, and in this case, the horse has been carved standing on a base. One stone, no glue. Even though it is tiny, he was able to carve a delicate head with the mane on the right side, the haunches and tail well-defined. This tiny carving is signed with the initials “HP”, has inlaid eyes of turquoise and measures about 1 1/2" long by 1 1/4" tall at the tip of the ears.
