Thousands of tadpole eggs are laid by a
Frog's single spawn and in Zuni Pueblo tradition these amphibians are associated with abundance and fertility. They are important water creatures who when carved into fetishes are considered to be rain-bringing. Daphne and Leland Boone's wonderful turquoise frog is carved from Kingman turquoise measuring about 2 1/4" long, 1 5/8" wide by 1" tall. A bright orange red spiny oyster shell point offering is attached to this coral-eyed creature helping to bring us out of the winter darkness and into the spring light.
