By Claudia Peina

Animal: Tablita Corn Maiden, Material: Phosphosiderite
This offering is sold.
Phosphosiderite is a rare mineral named for its main ingredients, phosphate and iron. The siderite at the end of phosphosiderite comes from the Greek word sideros which means iron. It is said to open one's eyes to new possibilities, no wonder as the natural lavendar hue alone is inspirational. Claudia Peina's lovely Tablita Corn-Maiden has been sculpted from phosphosiderite and inlaid with turquoise and coral accents. Eyes are etched and filled with jet paste. About 2 1/2" tall, 1" wide and 1" deep.
