A young sea
Turtle has been adeptly carved from horned coral by Fred Bowannie, Jr. Fossilized horned coral is found locally on the Zuni Pueblo reservation. Fred's elegant etching decorated this approximate 3" long, 2 1/4" wide and 3/4" tall reptile's carapace in a decorative manner. Pen shell in gold lip shell eyes see the splashing waves ahead as this hatchling makes its way to the shore's edge.
