Adrian Leon is an outstanding katsina carver who makes surprisingly small traditional dolls. Katsinas are various masked ancestral spirits who come during Hopi religious dances. A miniature Hopi Parrot Katsina is wonderfully embellished with feathers, pipecleaner, yucca spines, cloth and ribbon on a cottonwood body painted with energizing acrylics. Signed by the artist, this small woodwork including base is approximately 2 5/8" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1" deep. Signed by the artist.
