Attractive Morado purple opal is mined in central Mexico and its Spanish name means purple. It's composed of silica and small amounts of fluorite which contribute to the adored plum hue that collectors admire so much. Christopher Sandoval's hunting Mountain-lion (panther, puma or cougar) is about 2 3/4" long, 1" wide and 1 1/4" tall carved from a luscious Morado opal specimen. A tail is on its backside, in old-style presentation. An amazing turquoise and coral bead offering is attached to this great feline that, through its traits in nature teaches us to also set good boundaries in life. This is called animal medicine.
