was a difficult one to part with as I love all of Alvin Calavaza’s birds, especially his owls. They feel good in your hand. Sometimes when I hold one of his birds, I can almost feel its heart beating. This little guy is simple and yet complicated. When you hold it up to the light, the patterns and inclusions within the stone are endlessly interesting, with a bit of watery lavender. Perfect for the Night Grandfather. Alvin accented this owl with inlaid turquoise eyes. This piece has a wingspan of about 2 1/8" wide and is about 1 3/8" tall.
