Claudia Peina's joyfully dancing
Bear is carved from turquoise, upright at about 2 1/2" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep. Pen shell eyes are ultra sweet and a red coral necklace is inlaid. Intricately set jet clawed paws are wonderful too. Claudia belongs to the greater George Cheechee Haloo (d) family of Zuni artists. Her uncle Miguel Haloo (d) initiated the well-known standing bear style associated with this family.
