Born into the Roadrunner Clan in 1936, award-winning Acoma Pueblo potter Rachel Concho learned traditional pottery making from her mother Santana Cerno. Hand-coiling natural clay, Rachel formed this stunning seed pottery and used mineral pigments to paint captivating designs that are like a geometric path of the sun. Inside this piece, little seeds pleasantly rattle honoring the old-way they were stored to keep them safe. Signed by the artist. About 2 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter.
