Camille Bernal's lovely hand-carved and hand-painted natural clay pottery with mineral paints are inspired of the perennial plants that appear every spring and summer around her Taos Pueblo home. Created in 2009, this natural shape was first hand built then carved to bring the wild flowers to the surface. Camille sources her mineral paints from the local landscapes. The red paint nicely accents the soft blue which is a rare pigment from the Laguna Pueblo area. The traditional white paint takes many applications with enough drying time between layers, to saturate. She painted the entire inside of this work with this precious white paint. This gorgeous piece stands about 8" tall with the free form oblong shape measuring about 10 1/2" long by 8" wide, signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply.
