Zuni Pueblo potter Avelia Peynetsa collaborated with her son Anderson Jamie Peynetsa, to create this remarkable, all hand-formed and hand-painted Dragonfly and tadpole (baby Frog) seed pottery. Creatures such as the dragonfly and tadpoles (frog) are important symbols to the Zunis because they represent life-giving water.  Frogs or tadpoles often appear on prayer pottery bowls since many of the Zuni prayers and dances ask for water in the form of rain or snow.  This exquisite natural clay and mineral paints seed pottery is approximately 5" tall and 7 1/4" in diameter. Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply.
