Brian Yatsattie's groovy Eagle is creatively carved of a recycled material called "surfite", which is left over waste resin from the surfboard glassing process. In a traditional Zuni Six Direction Group the eagle represents the directional location of sky or zenith and is assigned a multi-color designation. This rainbow raptor is the perfect embodiment of the zenith eagle with its many layers of bright and beautiful colors. The eagle has jet inlaid eyes and measures about 3 3/8" long, 7/8"wide by 2 1/2" tall.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary. Please see our resources page for more information on the sanctuary.
