Skunks are part of Zuni mythology and other native societies view them as representing family loyalty through loving defense. They are beneficial animals as they eat grubs and small rodents, a natural form of pest control for landowners. Gilbert Bowannie's friendly neighborhood skunk has been carved from zebra stone marble and has warmhearted eyes from inlaid turquoise. About 2 1/2" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
