Jimmy Yawakia's elevated and wide-winged Eagle (or Hawk who is little brother to eagle in the Zuni way) is carved from gold lip shell. Eagles maintain a comprehensive view, good medicine for us to imitate. Permanently attached to a marble base, this great raptor with red coral eyes, is about 7/8" tall, 4 1/2" wide and 1" deep.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary. Please see our resources page for more information on the sanctuary.
Brad Panteah, Zuni-Dine (Navajo)
Brad Panteah's majestic Eagle (or Hawk who in Zuni tradition, is considered to be the little brother to eagle) pin/pendant is all hand-fabricated of overlaid sterling silver. This fabulous piece is about 1 3/8" long and 1 1/4" wide. Signed by the artist. The silver snake chain is available and sold separately here.
Arvella Cheama's brothers are distinguished carvers Fabian, Lance and Wilfred Cheama. They hail from the greater Natewa, Dallas Quam and Panteah family of amazing Zuni artists.
This small Hawk has landed, looking over its territory through discerning eyes of inlaid turquoise. Arvella's intricately detailed feather work, talon and beak features are lovely. Carved from always fascinating Picasso marble, this must-have raptor is about 1 5/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" deep.
