A gorgeous grouping of hand-carved animals are strung on this single strand baby olive heishe and red coral bead fetish necklace representing the Six-Directions that Zuni Pueblo people recognize. They assign a color and animal to each. At the very center of this collectible work of wearable art by Daphne and Leland Boone, is a fabulous turquoise point that measures about 2" long and 1 1/8" wide. The directional animals are a White Wolf carved from marble, a tijilite Mountain Lion, an Eagle of ricolite, a Badger of magnesite, a jet Mole that's about 1 5/8" long, and a turquoise Bear coming in at about 1 1/4" long. The animal's have inlaid eyes of turquoise or red coral, except for the mole, whose eyes are incised. The overall length of this treasured necklace is approximately 26".
