Andres Quandelacy's reversible
Bear (or polar bear) pendant necklace is fabulous. Either side of this outstanding wearable fetish from mother-of-pearl has an inlaid turquoise heartline and eyes. A creatively carved "naja" or crescent shape on the bear pendant is a design the Quandelacy family is known for. They carve this naja right into the shell's center, instead of attaching a metal bale. This style was started by Johnny Quam (d) and continued by his daughter Ellen Quandelacy (d) and right down the family line. The powerful bear itself is about 1 1/2" long with naja, 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" deep. Strung with scrumptiously rounded beads such as happy turquoise, vibrant lapis lazuli and spiny oyster shell, Andres' stunning necklace is about 22" long and a nice sterling silver signature label is attached.
