Impressive Rosarita Inlaid Earrings

During the 1960's and 70's, Alaskan beach sand was smelted for its gold content. In the process, a slag by-product displaying amazing deep red colors resulted, which was called Rosarita. Since then, improvements in the gold refining industry means Rosarita gold slag is no longer produced. Laguna Pueblo jeweler Amber Carrillo recently brought by this stunning pair of reticulated sterling silver, bold jet and rich Rosarita inlaid earrings. Their dynamic presence is irrefutable. About 2 3/4" long, 5/8" wide and 1/4" deep, for pierced ears. Signed by the artist.
