Isaac Coriz is a wonderful jeweler, grandson to Mary C. Lovato and grandson of Santiago Leo Coriz. He specializes in mosaic inlay, both traditional and contemporary works. His latest creation is an all hand-fabricated unisex bolo tie, that hangs at about 21" long, adjustable. The stunning center piece, about 2 3/4" long and 1 3/4" at widest part, is a growing corn mosaic of sterling silver stalks and various kinds of lovely turquoise corn cobs. Corn is a sacred crop to the pueblo people. The magnificent moon in the background is a gorgeous specimen of New Landers turquoise. The rest of the inlay arrangement consists of specially cut sections of jet. The back of the center piece shows a hand-stamped sterling silver component that holds the hand-braided black leather cord. The tips of this incredible bolo tie are of sterling silver.
