A baby scorpion is called a scorpling, how adorable is that? Female scorpions give birth to a bunch of baby scorplings who ride on mom's back for about two weeks. Interestingly, certain species of scorplings can fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Their exoskeletons contain special compounds that give off a greenish-blue glow. Clive Hustito's young-in' is carved from Picasso marble and has eyes from red coral inlays. This little darling is about 1 7/8" long, 7/8" wide and 1/2" tall. Scorpions are important predators feeding on a variety of pest organisms, contributing to the environment's well-being.
