A Nurturing Father

Fabian Tsethlikai's carvings have charming details which lend to the overall feeling you get from holding them in your hands. The incised details on this picture jasper carving really brings to life the texture and feel of the seahorse. Male seahorses carry the fertilized eggs of their young in a pouch until they emerge fully formed but very tiny. This delightful and endearing creature measures about 2 1/4" tall, 1" wide by 3/8" deep with turquoise inlaid eyes.
