Recognized for their extraordinarily large beaks or bills, toucans use them to reach out for faraway fruit on branches. Surprisingly, their beaks are lightweight. Simply adorable, Gilbert Bowannie's calcite toucan has a fabulous bill of jet, with incised air holes. Etched feathers and jet in turquoise inlaid eyes are conveying a friendliness and curiosity. About 1 1/2" tall, 7/8" wide and 2" deep.
