Roadrunners are fascinating birds who were officially adopted as New Mexico's state bird in 1949. They are members of the cuckoo family who can run up to 20 miles per hour. Evalena and her mother Lena Boone have carved this dolomite roadrunner that has turquoise inlaid eyes, lovely wing etching and measures about 3" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
