Brian Yatsattie's groovy Snake
is carved of motor agate, or Fordite, a recycled material from hardened paint by way of automobile factories. This reptile has alert eyes of inlaid jet. Snake (Chitdola) sheds its skin. This is a powerful symbol of our need to discard old ways, patterns, and perspectives. Snake medicine is that of alchemy, i.e. that which is negative may be transformed into something positive. About 3 1/8" long, 1 7/8" wide and 1/4" tall.
