James Panteah's peacock ore Owl is turning its head to get a good look at something. Owls move their heads instead of their eyes, to view their environment. With turquoise inlaid eyes, this great raptor is about 1" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" deep.

James' parents are carvers Clayton Panteah and Abby Quam. They are from the greater Hustito and Lowsayatee family of Zuni artists.
