They hunt cooperatively with Coyotes in an incredible reciprocal relationship. In Zuni Pueblo traditional ways, Badgers are viewed as powerful creatures who help medicine men dig roots for healing. Their tenacious ways and fearless fighting spirit teach us to never give up. With a similar persistence, we too can take charge and focus on a goal. Melvin Sandoval's elegantly sculpted badger from a marble with lovely white crystalline variations can be a wonderful reminder of these qualities. Sgraffito etching for fur is spectacular.
