The Zuni Pueblo people call an owl "the Night Grandfather" because this raptor does his work at night. This distinguished Owl
is beautifully carved of invigorating cuprite, about 2" tall, 2" wide and 1 1/4" deep, by Christopher Sandoval. It studies its nighttime surroundings through nice eyes of inlaid jet and mother-of-pearl. Christopher incised lovely feather detailing.
