Mountain-lion (cougar, puma or panther) is a powerful and protective animal in Zuni Pueblo tradition admired for incredible strength and hunting prowess. Stealthy in nature, a mountain lion carving is brought along for success in the hunt. Maegan Shetima carved a fierce feline crouched defensively, ears down and bearing teeth. Pen shell in gold lip shell eyes mean business. We can almost hear its snarled warning. The honey onyx is gorgeous, while the simple azurite point offering bundle compliments the mineral beautifully. Small etched claws are a lovely touch. About 3 1/2" long, 1" wide and 2" tall.
