Greg Lasiloo's approximate 15 1/8" tall, 4 1/4" long and 4" deep (measurements include base) corn maiden katsina is simply exquisite. Corn maidens emerge from the corn and usually have whorls of hair on the sides of their heads, signifying that they have not had a child. All hand-carved of cottonwood and hand-painted with vivid blue, turquoise and brownish-red acrylic paints. We love her perfectly incised traditional hair style and the individual corn kernels of her body. Greg burnt out her hair, corn body and corn stalks for additional detail. Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply.
