Horse by Burt Awelagte. He is from the greater Othole family of Zuni Pueblo fetish carvers. His uncle is renowned artist Gibbs Othole. Hewn from wonderstone, a type of rhyolite, the somewhat vertical striations are very attractive within this fine grained rock. An offering bundle is made of lovely green turquoise, red coral and fresh water pearl beads. Our pony friend is a nice size at about 5 1/4" long, 1 5/8" wide and 2 3/4" tall.
