Sugilite, Turquoise & Gold Lip Shell Stone-To-Stone Inlaid Dangle Earrings

By Sheldon & Nancy Westika

This offering is sold.

Nancy and Sheldon Westika are master jewelers who come from the greater Johnny Quam (d) and Quandelacy family of extraordinary Zuni Pueblo artists. Nancy's mother was noted jeweler Anne Gasper Quam (d) who learned the art from her father Johnny Quam (d). Anne's sister was Ellen Quandelacy (d).

Together Nancy and Sheldon set hand cut precious sugilite, sky blue turquoise and golden gold lip shell harmoniously side by side in the difficult to do, stone-to-stone jewelry inlay technique. Slightly beveled and raised from their sterling silver housings, these really gorgeous earrings dance at about 1 1/2" long and 1/4" wide, including hook fixtures. Signed by the artists.
