Reversible Heart Mosaic Pendant

The Kewa tradition of overlay jewelry reaches back to a time way before the Spanish arrived in the ancestral lands of Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico. A colorful handmade mosaic heart pendant by Mary Frances Coriz Aguilar is a contemporary continuation of that ancient tradition. Sterling silver is inlaid with iridescent mother-of-pearl, pen shell, turquoise and red abalone in an approximately 2" long including bale, 1 1/2" wide and 1/4" deep reversible work of wearable art.
