The Indigenous Ojibwe Peoples share an Anishinaabeg origin story about Ma’iingan (Wolf) and First Man. As brothers, Creator instructed them to walk as companions on Mother Earth naming all the plants and animals. After their work was done, the Creator told Ma’iingan and First Man to make their own trails in life but they must always look out for each other.
