If you don't have a Lena Boone carving in your collection, now's the time. Lena's grandfather was Teddy Weahkee (d), a major Zuni Pueblo carver during the middle decades of the twentieth century. Her mother Edna Leki (d) created extraordinary fetish necklaces. Her sister is Dinah Gasper and her brother was carver Anderson Weahkee (d). Lena's grown children, Leland and Evalena Boone are amazing carvers too. Cheerful in spirit is this approximate 3 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 1 5/8" tall turquoise-eyed bushytail (Coyote
) carved from a stunning septarian nodule by wonderful Lena.
