Warrior Maiden was called into battle early and didn't have time to finish a traditional hairstyle. Meticulously carved from antler, a shawl has finely etched geometric lines filled with jet paste, accented with turquoise, pen shell and coral cabochons. Hair is beautifully incised and one whorl is set with turquoise. Discerning eyes are from jet paste, while a coral mouth speaks wisdom. Standing at the ready with a hand-stamped sterling silver shield and spear, Claudia Peina's Warrior Maiden is about 2 7/8" tall, 1" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
