"In Zuni mythology, the Bear clan is believed to be in charge of the seasonal changes that bring the cold weather and snow," (Zuni Fetishes by Hal Zina Bennett). With gracefully waving patterns of pinks, tans and yellow this beautiful dolomite bear has its nose to the ground and its back to the sky. Carved by Farlan and Paulette Quam and given a generous offering of turquoise and red branch coral this bringer of the seasons stands about 3" tall and 3 1/4" long. Its eyes are inlaid turquoise.
