A trio of
Corn-Maidens share one shawl symbolizing their sisterhood. The magnificent carving is inlaid with amazing sugilite, coral, turquoise, mother-of-pearl and pink coral pieces. Etched star elements adorn the incredibly incised fringe border. Faces are from overlaid shell and filled with jet paste.
Corn bodies are beautifully incised. The labradorite specimen is especially alluring displaying a green, yellow and blue iridescence. Labradorite is a feldspar mineral first identified in Labrador, Canada. Approximately 4" tall, 3 3/4" wide and 2 1/4" deep, by Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez.
